SIIA Member’s Choose Consensus Point as One of the Most Innovative Companies

Consensus Point will be showcased as one of ten of the most innovative companies currently transforming the information industry at the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) ”Information Industry Summit 2013: Breakthrough” event in New York. Consensus Point was chosen by SIIA judges to present in their “2013 Previews Competition” and will be the only software company with a prediction market platform.   SIIA is the principal trade association for software and digital content industries.

Huunu Featured in Quirk’s!

At the Consensus Point corporate offices, we’ve been in a flurry of activity for months planning and launching our new prediction market platform, Huunu.  Now the market research industry is taking note.  Huunu was featured in the June edition of Quirk’s in their Product and Service Update as a new tool that “brings social gaming techniques to consumer research.”

New Prediction Market Book – Oracles by Donald Thompson – Now Available

Harvard University Press has just released Oracles: How Prediction Markets Turn Employees into Visionaries. The book takes a detailed look at not just the science of prediction markets, but at the business application of prediction markets. While making the case that prediction markets are extremely valuable for businesses as a way to tap into the knowledge of their employee bases, the book does an exemplary job of detailing the challenges that companies can face when implementing prediction markets internally. If you or your company is trying to decide if a market is right fo you, this book is a must read.

Of course, here at Consensus Point are a bit biased. Several of our clients’ stories appear in the book including GE and Best Buy. After years of working with these large enterprise clients, we have begun working with the market research industry.
